Neuromuscular
Neuromuscular Therapy is best used to correct pain and dysfunction by treating trigger points, muscle adhesions, and fascia or connective tissue. I call it "cleaning the gutters out" type of therapy since after you release most of the adhesions, nerve and blood flow will revert back to a normal status and provide relief from your symptoms. These trigger points, adhesions and fascia patterns can form due to trauma, postural patterns, or from repetitive movements. With several treatments, similar to physical therapy, long lasting effects will occur resulting in pain relief, improved movement, and healthy muscular and soft tissue. Since the work is concentrated on the primary and secondary areas of the body that are causing the issues you are experiencing, neuromuscular therapy sessions are rarely a full body treatment session.
